There was movement to produce a sequel of the world-beater movie "TOP GUN" (1986) of the Tom Cruise.
Accoring to New York Magazin, Paramount Pictures offered a plan to the director,Tony Scott, and the producer,Jerry Bruckheimer, who already dealt with the first product.
They decided appointment of Christopher McCurry of "VALKYRIE" as a scriptwriter.
In addition, Marvelick of the pilot at US Navy which Cruise played in a sequel was not the leading role, but it seemed to appear in form to harden the side, and Cruise consented to the appearance with the supporting role.
Actually it is no exaggeration to say I decided to be a pilot because I watched "TOP GUN".
I'm looking forward to see that soon.
